Bio Statement:

Stacey Johnson (she/her) is a speaker, a developer of human capital, a creator of culture and a sustainability ambassador. She has 18 + years of experience leading retail organizations through change with special focuses on revitalization and accelerated business growth. She has maintained a passion for inserting sustainability practices in each retail facet that she has touched, from soft lines through to CPG’s.

Over the past 10 years she has had a strong focus on sustainability as it pertains to LCA (life cycle assessment), mitigation, adaptation, agroforestry & recycling. Stacey has also spent countless hours with ‘boots on the ground’ in countries such as Brazil & Colombia working alongside agronomists and farmers to gather hands on experience and become a part of the solution – working hand in hand with partners such as Fair Trade, Pur Projet & Techno Serve.

Stacey is excited to work as a part of the MFC family and translate her passion for sustainability and her industry knowledge onto a new platform. “Creating clean or cleaner practices surrounding denim is more than a responsibility, it has now moved to a necessity. We have an opportunity to embed MFC further into the conversation pertaining to fashion waste. Pairing with the right partnerships and by telling an impactful story, we can establish this culture, with movement”.

Areas of Focus with MFC:

Stacey serves as the Equity & Culture Director at MFC providing strategic guidance on MFC’s growth and development as an organization, its internal team processes, and its ways of collaborating and communicating with external partners and the larger causes and movements MFC intersects with.
